The Mid-Atlantic Chapter is offering the SWANA Managing Composting Programs training course on October 26-28, 2026 at Harford Waste Disposal Center Archives (house) 3037 Dublin Road, Street, MD 21154
This program will provide students with an understanding of composting programs from planning through design and operation of modern compost facilities. The 3-day course consists of presentations by SWANA certified instructors, classroom exercises, case studies, a tour and field exercise at a local composting facility. Please bring a calculator for class activities. Please bring closed-toe shoes and safety vest for the tour. Hard hat, eye and hearing protection are optional.
Please note that no Certification Exam will be offered at the conclusion of this course.
