The Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Senior Environmental Specialist II – Sustainability at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). The selected candidate will support the Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) within our Environmental Operations group and be responsible for project management, providing technical support in the area of environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and climate change policies and initiatives, and monitoring sustainability programs’ effectiveness. Must be able to pass a background check to obtain an airport security badge.

Estimated Pay Range: $55,661.62 – $97,407.84

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology, biology, chemistry, geology or a related field from an accredited college or university, plus 4 years of experience in environmental science, regulations, engineering or management. One year of experience must have included responsibility managing environmental projects and providing leadership to other professional and technical staff An applicable advanced education degree may be substituted for up to two years of experience. Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.
